The Difference Between Waterslide Paper Clear and White

The "clear" waterslide decal paper inkjet indicates a light-colored substrate, while the "white" version indicates a dark-colored substrate. This is because a dark background can cause the image on transparencies to become flooded. For the white film, if you want to remove the background, you can use a cutting plotter.

Using the clear inkjet waterslide paper on a white background will produce excellent results.

Warm Tips:

✔ This water slide paper is compatible only with inkjet printers. ✔ Print the image on the coated film side, as the waterslide paper's back side is the rough side. ✔ You must seal the waterslide decal paper with a clear acrylic spray after printing, as inkjet ink is water-soluble, and the image may be damaged otherwise. ✔ Do not touch or move the sheet (water slide paper) before applying the spray coating. ✔ Spray the coating after the ink has completely dried (use a hair dryer for more effective drying). ✔ Hold the spray can 8 to 12 inches away from the waterslide paper before coating. ✔ Wait until the coating has dried, then spray again. Repeat the process 2 to 3 times. ✔ Inkjet toner is water-soluble and will dissolve when placed in water. That's why the acrylic spray coating is essential to provide a waterproof layer and protect the image from water erosion.
