Inkjet Heat Transfer Paper: Bring Your Designs to Life
Step 1: Prepare the Settings Before printing, please complete the following settings: - Do not reverse your image - no mirror printing. - Set the printing quality to HIGH QUALITY. - Select Plain Paper as the paper type.
The water transfer paper supports high-resolution printing up to 9600 x 2400 dpi, resulting in vivid and saturated images.
Step 2: Print Your Design Print your design on the BLANK side of the transfer paper. Ensure the printed image is complete after the printing process is finished.
Notes: - Avoid touching the printed image directly, as the grease from your fingers can reduce the adhesion of the coating. - You can print multiple small images on one sheet of transfer paper to improve utilization. - The paper is compatible with regular ink (pigment and dye), but do not use sublimation ink. - This paper is not compatible with laser printers. For laser printers, please choose our Laser Waterslide Decal paper.
Step 3: Apply the Acrylic Coating After the printed image dries, spray a thin, even coat of Acrylic Spray from a distance of about 20cm. Allow it to dry for 1-2 hours, or use a low-temperature hairdryer.
Notes: - Spray the acrylic coating over your image three times in a well-ventilated room. - Allow your image to dry for about 10 minutes after each spray. - Acrylic Spray is a clear, flammable paint, so it is not included in the package. You can purchase it from a local store or online.
Step 4: Cut Out Your Design Use scissors to cut out your design, leaving a 2-3mm margin around the edge of the image.
Step 5: Soak in Water Soak your design in lukewarm water for 15-25 seconds to separate the backing paper and the transfer film.
Notes: - Do not soak the image for too long, as the film may break during the transfer process. - If the ink of your design peels off or the color fades, it may indicate that the coating is too thin or the design is not fully covered.
Step 6: Transfer the Image Separate the backing paper from the soaked image, press one side of the image, and gently slide the backing paper off from the other side.
Step 7: Smooth Out the Image Use a plastic board to smooth out the image, wipe off any water on the surface, and remove any small bubbles or droplets until the image sticks perfectly to the mug.
Note: Ensure there are no air bubbles or droplets when the image is applied to the mug, as small bubbles can expand and cause the image to peel off.
Step 8: Bake the Mug Preheat your oven to 140°C-160°C (284°F-320°F) for 5 minutes. Place the mug in the oven, setting it to the upper and lower fire position, and bake for 10-15 minutes. Use caution to avoid burns.
Step 9: Enjoy Your Creation! Congratulations, your DIY transfer project is now complete! For step-by-step video tutorials, please refer to the resources on this page.
Note: The waterslide transfer is not dishwasher safe, so please clean it gently by hand.
